President Obama’s actions on immigration are sure to occupy the public (and political) space for awhile, though how long will depend in part on what these actions turn out to be. So far, however, the details have not been disclosed. This makes any attempt at analysis premature.
Thursday night the president delivered a speech from the East Wing setting forth a broad outline that was light on specifics and heavy on politics. The White House uploaded a new web page that reiterates his major themes and asks viewers to offer support. But this page does not include the details, so it is premature to attempt an objective analysis.
